Set up a landing page for a lead magnet in Mailchimp

01▸ Login to your MailChimp account . If you don’t have a Mailchimp account, sign up for one here .

02▸ Click “Create” from the dashboard.

03▸ Click “Build a landing page”.

04▸ Click on the “Lead Generation” template.

In the template editor, update the following:

05▸ Add a logo — Click on the logo placeholder, then drag an image (your logo) into the logo placeholder.

06▸ Click on the main header and description, and update the copy.

07▸ Click on the form headline and update the copy

08▸ Click on the Call to action button and update the copy.

(Optional) Add an image right above the form headline to illustrate the lead magnet.

09▸ Update the rest of the copy for the second half of the page.

10▸ Once you’ve done updating the landing page. Click “Save & Close”.

11▸ In the next page, edit the name of your landing page.

Note: This name is for internal use only and is not shown to the public.

12▸ Next, add a title to your page.

Note: This title is visible to the public.

13▸ Edit the page URL.

Edit the audience. Choose an email list to collect people who’ve signed up to download your free template. If you haven’t created such a list, follow this documentation and create one.

It’s recommended that you add a tag for people who sign up on this list (e.g. Marketing Template Leads). Once a subscriber is tagged, you can create rules/automation in MailChimp down the road to segment and contact these subscribers.

Important: You won’t be able to change the audience once you’ve publish this page so make sure you’ve selected the correct email list/audience.

14▸ Once done, click publish.

15▸ You’ve now set up the landing page. Copy this URL and use it in your marketing campaign (e.g. Facebook, Google Ads, Social media etc).
