Recipe 021: Perform on-page optimization on your website

🚀 Goal: To improve your website’s on-page optimization in the pages that will have the biggest impact on your organic traffic.
🤔 Why this is important: On-page optimization is absolutely crucial for your SEO efforts, to rank for competitive keywords your pages will need to be properly optimized.
🗓️ When this is done: Periodically, every few months depending on how often you create new content. If you always frequently produce highly optimized pages and content, you may review them every 6-12 months.
👨 Who does this: The person responsible for Search Engine Optimization.

Step 1 - Identify the best pages on your site to perform on-page optimization

Outcome: You have filled out the Template 013: 80/20 Site-Wide On-Page Optimization Worksheet (web version) and now know which pages you want to optimize and for which keywords.
Special instructions: For the purpose of this specific recipe do not follow the last chapter of that SOP (“Performing on-page optimization”). Instead, move to the next step of this recipe.
Step 2 - Perform an On-Page audit on each identified page

Outcome: You have filled out the Template 001: SEO Audit Worksheet (web version) for each page that you have identified in Step 1 of this recipe and now know where each page can be improved.
Step 3 - Take action on each page to fix the identified issues
