• A personal Facebook account.

• A clear understanding of your business’s branding (logo, color scheme, etc.).

• High-quality images (profile picture and cover photo).

• Basic business information (address, contact details, business hours, etc.).

Create a Facebook Page

01▸ Log into your personal Facebook account and navigate to the home screen.

02▸ Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner, and click on "Page" under the "Create" section.

 

03▸ Enter basic page information and click "Create Page."

  • Page Name: Enter the name of your business (ensure it is consistent with your brand).
  • Category: Select the category that best describes your business (e.g., Restaurant, Clothing Store, Consulting Agency).
  • Bio: Write a brief, compelling description of your business.

 

04▸ Enter any relevant business contact information and click "Next"

  • Website
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Physical address
  • Opening hours

 

05▸ Upload Profile and Cover Photos.

  • Profile Picture: Upload a high-resolution image that represents your brand (e.g., logo).
  • Cover Photo: Upload a visually appealing image that aligns with your branding (e.g., a product image, branded artwork, or a professional photograph of your store).

 

06▸ Click on the "Add Action Button."

Select a relevant call-to-action for your business and click "Next."

Note: some options require integrating with third-party tools to add the button. To add a simple link to your website, you can pick the "Learn more" option.

  Add the link to the button (or complete setting up the integration for the action button) and click "Save."

 

07▸ Click "Next."

08▸ [Optional] If you use WhatsApp for your business, you can add your WhatsApp number next.

 

09▸ You will be given the option to invite friends to your page. However, this is not recommended while your page is not 100% ready (you can do this later). Click "Next."

 

10▸ Choose communication settings for your page. It's recommended to keep page notifications on your profile. Click "Done."

 

11▸ Click on "About" your business information.

 

  • If you haven't done so previously, you can add your address, email, website, phone number, and opening hours.
  • Service area: If you travel to provide goods or services to your customers, you can define your service area by selecting up to ten neighborhoods, cities, or regions.
  • Social links: Add links to your business's other social media profiles (e.g., Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.)
  • Price range: Add a qualitative range of prices for your product (e.g., "cheap," "moderate," "expensive," or "splurge.").
  • Services: Select from a list of your business's available services (e.g., "delivery," "takeout," "online classes," etc.).

Click "Save Changes"

12▸ Go back to the "Posts" page.

13▸ Click on "Write a welcome post" to write something for new followers of your page.

[Optional but recommended] Add your Page to business manager

Use SOP 114 (web version) to add the new Facebook page to Business Manager. From Business Manager, you will be able to manage other people's access to your Facebook page.
