Within \"Data Sources\", ensure that you have selected the right name and ID on the top, scroll down and click \"Set up Meta Pixel\".\r\n\r\n### 04▸ You will be presented with two options. In this guide, we recommend clicking “Check for partner” instead for easier integration.\r\n\r\n### 05▸ Select “Google Tag Manager” from the partner list.\r\n\r\n### 06▸ By now, you will be taken to the onboarding workflow to connect your Google Tag Manager account to your Meta account. On the first screen, click “Next”.\r\n\r\n### 07▸ Next, turn on automatic advanced matching. Click \"Next\".\r\n\r\n  __Note:__ Automatic Advanced Matching helps Facebook better track and attribute website events by securely sending hashed customer data, like emails and phone numbers. This improves ad targeting, enhances retargeting accuracy, and ensures better tracking across devices, even if users aren’t logged in. It ultimately helps advertisers get more accurate reporting and improved campaign performance.\r\n\r\n### 08▸ Next, you will be prompted to sign in to the Google Account you use for Google Tag Manager. Click \"Allow\".\r\n\r\n### \r\n\r\n### 09▸ Click “Finish setup” after checking the account and container name. Otherwise, click on the drop-down arrow to choose the correct one.\r\n\r\n### 10▸ Next, since the Pixel base code is required for now, you just need to click “Next”.\r\n\r\n__Note 1:__ You might see a warning that mentions the pixel hasn’t received any events. This is normal since you’ve just installed it. We’ll verify the installation later in this SOP. __Note 2:__ The Event Setup Tool is needed when you want to track specific actions on your website (e.g., button clicks, form submissions, or purchases) without manually adding event code to the site. This tool allows you to set up events directly within Facebook's interface, making it easier to track key conversions and user interactions. Since the Pixel base code is already installed, you can proceed by clicking \"Next\", and then use the Event Setup Tool to configure the necessary event tracking.\r\n\r\n### 11▸ Finally, you’ll see a screen confirming that the setup is complete. Click \"Finish\".\r\n\r\n\r\n## QA the Meta pixel\r\n\r\n### 01▸ Open your website using Chrome.\r\n\r\n### 02▸ On your settings, go to \"Extensions\" and click on the [Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/meta-pixel-helper/fdgfkebogiimcoedlicjlajpkdmockpc).\r\n\r\n### \r\n\r\n### 03▸ You should be able to see your Meta Pixel Helper installed by now. The extension should be able to find at least one pixel and it should match the Pixel ID on your Meta Business Manager.
